The UES. The Unconditionally Egotistical Socialites. To outsiders; designer items, lavish charity events, and money that might as well be a ticket into anywhere, makes it seem like this longtime friend group of socialites has it all. But to each other, no amount of fake smiles can hide what is behind their rich facades. The UES do not just party with each other; they know each other like family knows family. They are a family. But they are also growing up, and things are changing. Being born into money doesn't take away their internal struggles. If anything, money just heightens them. Their parents and all of New York City have expectations higher than the Empire State Building. In fighting their demons, they end up fighting each other. The UES go from sharing everything, to keeping secrets that make them question if they ever really knew each other. Some of them confide in each other, while others are left feeling alone.
